Addidas Retro Shoes

Addidas shoes is today one of the biggest shoe manufacturing companies in the world. Addidas retro shoes have scripted the biggest success story of the world. Founded by Adolf Dassler, who named the company after himself ( ADI DASsler), after the World War I, Adolf Dassler ran his small business from his mother's laundry room. Joined by his brother, Rudolph Dassler, who later founded PUMA, and some friends who manufactured spikes, Adolf Dassler slowly but steadily expanded his business. After Adi persuaded American superstar Jesse Owens to wear his shoes, who later went on to win 4 gold medals, the brother's shoes were certainly in demand and were selling almost 200,000 shoes a year. Unfortunately the success was short lived and the 2 brothers split up and set up individual companies. Rudolph Dassler set up PUMA and Adolf Dassler set up Adidas.

After the minor setback, Adi Dassler set about reorganising his business and soon bought it on track. Sharing a passion for football with almost all his countrymen, Adolf was always partial to the sport of football and was the major sponsor of the German national side for the 1954 FIFA World Cup, which later went on to come up trumps and introduced to the world fresh talent. Germany was divided into factions who supported either Adidas or PUMA, thus driving the people into frenzy. Surfacing from some scandals and problems, Adidas came up with newer and newer technology thus providing breakthroughs in the field of shoe manufacturing.

In fact, Adidas were so technologically advanced that only a handful of other companies had the resources and the money to stay in the same league as Adidas. Adidas shoes have raised the limits of shoe making time after time. Adidas' first success came with the introduction of the studs with screws concept for football boots. Adidas followed up their success with a completely new series of football boots which were aerodynamically designed and pressure tested to support the weight of the footballer and the wear and tear that occurred when they put the boots through their paces. Adidas released their 'A' series of shoes that introduced the concept of cushioned comfort and the modified out soles that were designed to absorb extreme amounts of shock and pressure. The series was an instant hit with athletes and sportsmen across the world. The success of these shoes was followed by the future instalments of the series, resulting in the A2 and the A3 Gigaride shoes.

Other famous shoes were the Adidas Oddity and the Superstar series of shoes which were an ideal shoe for the age. Also following these 2 series of shoes were the ZX series, the Campus series, the Gazelle and the Promodel series. Each of these shoes was a rare classic, made to perfection by German efficiency and technological competence brilliance.

At Adidas the spirit of innovation runs wild, ready to be tapped into and used for the creation of yet another super hit model which would change the world forever.
